The Significance of the Crystal
The pure Morochey Crystal is the bridge between the human and the elemental crystals. Once a pure crystal is bound to a person, it's no longer technically pure. Instead, it's inextricably linked to that particular person's spirit, and is therefore known as a Spirit Crystal. The spirit crystal acts as sort of a translator that allows the person using it to sense and understand signals emitted by other crystals, and even the world around them. The loss of these senses can be devastating to someone who has them deeply ingrained in their psyche.
